Upcoming Evaluation information

Evaluations will take place the next 3 Tuesdays – 5/30, 6/6, 6/13 – please see the times below.   You can find more information here and how team placements work here.

There will be 4 stations to which each player will be evaluated by 2-3 coaches.  To keep the evaluations as unbiased as possible, this year we are going to have all girls team coaches evaluate the boys and all boys team coaches evaluate the girls. 

Dribbling Station:
Players will dribble and control the ball through different sets of cones.  Coaches will look for control, dribbling speed while in control and use of both feet when turning and dribbling the ball.

One vs one station
Using pugg nets, players will pass the ball to a player and then immediately defend his/her net.  The offensive player will then attempt to score around the defender.  Evaluators will look at ball control, defending, defensive positioning and shooting accuracy

Shooting Drill Station/ Goalie station
Using larger nets players will run through a variety of shooting drills using both feet.  Evaluators will look at shooting skills and accuracy for both feet.

Goalies will be evaluated on a seperate goal.  Evaluators will look at form, shutting down angles and positioning.

Scrimmage Station/Goalie Evaluation/Goalie Evaluation
Players will play against each other in simulated scrimmages.  Evaluators will look at all categories including dribbling, passing, spacing, field knowledge, use of right and left foot use and shooting. Goalies will also be evaluated in this station.
