CYSA’s mission is to introduce the game of soccer through the development of individual skill, fitness, teamwork, and fair play to the youth of Charlestown, MA. ‘Excited to welcome New England Surf in our neighborhood’ says Tim McKenna, CYSA board member. ‘A number of our families recommended NE Surf, having had a great experience in the past three years. Looking forward to see the benefits of this partnership in our soccer community’.
New England Surf is excited to branch out into a new city and will work in collaboration with Charlestown Surf to run Coaches Clinics, ID Clinics, and Camps.

Year One Update:
The Charlestown Region has experienced impressive growth over the 2023-2024 season, expanding from 41 players to 89, with a strong retention rate of 90% from the previous season. Our teams had notable achievements, including the B2012 and B2015 squads finishing in 2nd place in NECSL Spring League play. Additionally, Teddy Mistry from the B2012 team has advanced to the State 2012 Sky boys. Looking ahead to the 2024-2025 season, we are excited to welcome former professional player Andy Dorman, who will coach our G2014 Navy and Sky teams. Andy, with his UEFA A license and experience with Crystal Palace and the Revolution, will bring valuable expertise to our players.
