All "adult participants" (which includes coaches) in the CYSA program are required to affiliate/register themselves with Mass Youth Soccer Association (MYSA), which provides ensurance and the mandatory background checks (CORI) and abuse preventation training that are required by the State of Massachusetts.

Only after completing this process can CYSA print adult credentials for you.  These credentials are checked by refs at travel games, and without the credentials, a ref can ask you to not be present on the team sideline.
