Fall Soccer Registration is Open! Coaches needed

Hello Everyone,

Happy July 4th Weekend! Fall 2020 registration for Charlestown Soccer is offically open for both in-house and travel programs spanning grades 1st through 8th.  If you plan on playing Charlestown soccer this fall, please click on the Registration Link, to sign up your player or players.  Registration for the in-house Kindergarten (K2) program is currently TBD.   Please register by August 2, after which a late fee will be added, and you have a greater chance of being waitlisted.

Per the survey results from the canceled Spring season, many families chose to carry forward their spring registration, and a confirmation email was sent out the morning of 6/29/20 to those families.  If for any reason you do not want your player to play in the fall, please send an email back to us at info@charlestownsoccer.com.

We Need Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches for the Fall!!

If you are planning to coach or want to coach soccer in the fall, please send us an email at info@charlestownsoccer.com and we will send you a link to be credentialed.

Finally, if you have questions in regards to what the "New Normal" will look like in the time of Covid-19, please review the "Return to Soccer" guidelines on our site.  Here's the link to this site via Mass Youth Soccer.  https://www.mayouthsoccer.org/return-to-soccer-activities/

The latest news from CYSA!

We have appointed a Covid Officer from our board to help coordinate and communicate all information related to the virus to our teams, the board and parents.  In addition, we will be ordering PPE (hand sanitizers, wipes and masks) in preparation for the season.  Additional rules and guidelines will be communicated once we receive this information from the Governor, the City of Boston and/or the Mass Youth Soccer organization.

Thank you for time and patience,

CYSA Board

Fall 2020 CYSA Registration is Open

CYSA is starting to plan for the Fall 2020 soccer season.  We need to submit travel teams to the Middlesex League by August 7th.  In-House registration is open as well, so families spanning travel and in-house can do registration at the same time.  Note that In-House registration for Kindergarten is not yet open, since CYSA is still making plans around that.

On that page, find the section for the appropriate grade & gender of your child and click the "Register" (or "Join Waitlist") button.  If you received this message via email, you should be able to log in using that email address (using the Forgot Password feature if necessary).

As registration numbers approach the waitlist threshold, we can often increase program capacity.  However, the combination of both field space constraints and min/max team sizes for the Middlesex travel league can occassionally cause us to have a waitlist that later registrants can unfortunately find themselves on.

Note that travel registrations have a late fee assessed starting Monday Aug 3rd.

Email info@charlestownsoccer.com with any questions.

Mass Youth Soccer's Suspension of Youth Soccer Activities has been lifted as of Monday June 15.  Only those activities permitted under the current guidelines as presented below are permitted.

Limited soccer activities may resume on Monday, June 15 2020 in accordance with guidance provided by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Mass Youth Soccer. It is our strong recommendation that member organizations utilize the week of June 8-14 to train and educate players, parents and coaches on Return to Soccer Activities protocols and guidelines.  Mass Youth Soccer requires all adults involved in soccer activities to read, understand and conduct themselves in accordance with the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association COVID-19 Return to Soccer Activities Guidelines as provided by this web site.

Update - June 12, 2020: Programs must separate participants into groups/cohorts of no more than 12 participants, including coaches and staff. (Click here for Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs Memo)
