Boys Grade 3 & 4 - 5 Families,
Welcome to Charlestown Youth Soccer's (CYSA) fall travel season. Tom Keohane, Andy Peterson, and I will be coaching the boys. As a reminder, soccer practice starts tomorrow, Monday, August 26th, and runs Mondays and Wednesday at 7 pm through the first week of November. Our first game is scheduled for Saturday, September 7th. Home games will be held at our field in Charlestown next to the High School
Our travel soccer program plays in the Middlesex Youth Soccer League (MYSL). We are expected to be in Division 5A. You will receive an email from CYSA once MYSL releases the game schedule and it gets uploaded to the CYSA website. The CYSA website sends email reminders 48 hours prior to game time. The SI Play mobile application also links up to this, and provides notifications of games. If you used the SI Play app the previous season, you usually have to logout and log back into it, for it to link up to the current season.
Please keep an eye out for reminders and click the appropriate RSVP button in them so that we can effectively plan for the games.
Directions to the fields are available through the reminder emails, in the SI Play mobile app, and on our team's page on the CYSA website at:
Once the game schedule is loaded, it will be reflected live through a webcal/ical link that you can subscribe to through Google Calendar, iPhone, Outlook, and just about any other electronic calendaring tool.
Please bring shin guards and a water bottle to practices. Cleats are suggested, and, if possible, please have your own personal size 4 soccer ball that you bring to practice (with your name written on it). You can reuse your uniform if you have one from last season. You can order replacements at http://store.charlestownsoccer.com. Replacing the jersey takes a few weeks, so if you need a new one, place your order ASAP.
We look forward to a great season.
